Kenwood KDC-BT645U Review by firesol
Overall a good unit, major upgrade over factory stereo. Put it in a Honda Civic and fit and wiring was no problem. Plenty of power to run 4 Polk db651s installed at the same time. I messed with the EQ a lot the first couple of weeks but haven't changed anything recently. Remote is nice and works basic functions easily. IPhone/ipod controls work well with std cables. CD player works fine, has played everything I put in it. The Blue display looks good at night.
Couple of things that aren't so great.
The bluetooth, which I really wanted, does not work well at all especially if you're driving down the highway. A separate micro phone setup would probably work better but I didn't want to hassle with running the wire.
The USB control works great if you're simply running your ipod or phone, however if you're running Pandora it always resets back to your ipod if you stop the car or get a phone call. It also doesn't charge your phone very well if your running a high power use app like XM. I just started using the AUX cable when I use XM and charge thru a separate charger.
Again overall a good unit, easy to use, great sound, and I got a great deal on Amazon. It just has a few quirks that may be a turn off to certain buyers.

It's been a long time since I've purchased an after-market head unit and wow- they have really come a long way! This unit made my speakers sound so much better. The clarity was obvious right after I installed the unit. The only concern I'm having with the unit is that it does not support the iPod 4th Generation with the color display unless you purchase a $50 adapter.
